Grand Kallanai
The Grand Anicut is known as the Kallanai meaning STONE DAM in tamil language, which is the ancient stone dam built on the River Cauveri in the state of Tamil Nadu of south of India. This Ancient Stone Dam was built by King Karikalan of Chola kingdom. It was proved that the dam built around first Century (1 AD).
There are two channels after the dam - one at north is named Kollidam and the other carries the same river's name by Cauvery.
The Ancient Building by Stone - Kallanai was a massive dam of Blue Metal stone measuring nearly 1000 feet(330 metre) long and 66 feet (20 metre)width across the main river. Initially planned only for the storage but the dam was fitted with GATES to divert the stored water towards the paddy field via channels.
The dam is considered OLDEST not only for strorage but also the oldest water-diversion cum water-regulator structure in the world which is under good service.

Sphinx at Egypt
Sphinx are one of the ancient built monument in Egpyt which is being wondered by all ancient building archeologists on the reasons behind the idea. Of course, my view on the ancient building is not the reason but on the construction. Where do we get the basics of foundation and the huge lifting of stones without any cranes and hydraulic machines and the structures made to complete the sphinx like idol. Even the outer world aliens are doubted for the construction of such ancient building. Kings ruled where inspired for those ancient building as their expression of interest towards the citizens. Real wonder mad every mankind for one question for similar ancient buildings.

The Ruins of an Ancient City - Hampi
Hampi was once the cultural hub of activities during the reign of the Krishnadevaraya. This beautiful place is in the State of Karnataka in India. If you are in India during October, then this is a place to visit since October is the festival season at this place.
The ruins of Hampi is more popular among the tourist mass. If you want to relive the past and live with a sense of past then you should definitely visit this place. The dead city lives during October!
The Hampi Bazaar, Sule Bazaar, Virupaksha Temple, the Vittalia Temple, and Achyutaraya Temple are some of the places that you should not miss during your trip. The haunting structures of the Royal Centre and the Zenana Enclosure are a must-see.
You can get there through train. Hospet is the railway station to land there. From there you can go through Bus or autorickshaw.
